It was very important for us at BrightWork to get a release out on the Microsoft 2010 platform very early for two reasons. First reason is that some existing customers wanted a 2010 release. Always a good reason! However doing an early 2010 release also protects all customers, so we are not building blind on the 2007 platform when things had changed with the 2010 platform. The only real way to get to properly know the new platform is to develop on it. Trust us on this one! The next BrightWork release will therefore be a dual release. We will release a version for SharePoint 2007 and a version for SharePoint 2010. We will have the SharePoint 2010 release available in mid May and the SharePoint 2007 release available end of May or the start of June. With this strategy we aim to serve those customers who want to go to SharePoint 2010 and Project 2010 immediately and we also aim to serve those customers who want to stay with SharePoint 2007 and Project 2007 / 2003 for a while longer. SharePoint 2010 and Project 2010 - Explained

Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Project 2010 will release in May 2010. This will be the fourth major version of the SharePoint platform since the first version shipped in 2001 or fifth if you count Exchange 2000 Webstore (which we do!).
