Customer Training – Who needs it anyway?

Aug-32010

When you deploy a process change (as you do with Project Management) you just need to train folks.  No questions asked.  The training can be short or long.  But it must happen.   Most of the training time is taken up talking through the project management approach you want folks to take on board.  The more time spent talking through the process / approach – the less time is needed to cover the mechanics of the tool.  I see many customers trying to take the short cut.  They figure the folks are smart and will figure it out.  Well the folks are very smart – and they figure if you do not put some time into training – then maybe the new project management approach is not so important and they can skip it!  They also may decide to interpret a different way than intended.   Not what you want!

Today at BrightWork we put the finishing touches on the new Customer Training site.  Lots of extra materials added.  The most recent adds were a new tab with training on our 2010 solution and an amazingly comprehensive Customization Guide (in the Project Office section).  These training materials can be taken and customized by any BrightWork customer, so represent a great free resource.
