Ask not what …

Jan-212011

We will soon have the 50th anniversary of JFK's inauguration - maybe next week some time. And that famous speech - "Ask not what your country can do for you - but what you can do for your country". I hope I did not butcher it too badly!!

I was delivering hands on workshops this week - with Aspect and Microsoft (our partners). The workshops were giving folks an opportunity to try SharePoint and Project 2010 out for real.

We delivered a workshop in Minneapolis on Wednesday and flew down to deliver one in St. Louis, yesterday, Thursday. Each of the two days had flight delays of 4 to 5 hours and plane swaps! When we finally arrived and got up this morning we were snowed in! See the picture below of my co-presenter John Gootee (of Aspect) digging the car out. The workshops went well - so all was well that ended well. And after all that - when I arrived at St Louis airport to head back to NY - may flight was cancelled! As they say in Project Management circles - 'expect the unexpected'! (especially when you fly in the winter!).

"Ask not what your customer can do for you - but what you can do for your customers!", is what John and I were saying!
