Using SharePoint Designer Workflows with BrightWork

We have customers using SharePoint Designer to build interesting and innovative workflows.  Also in what might seem an unrelated piece of information, we do get requests from customers on how to report on the version history of an item in SharePoint.  In our May Customer Training Call, Peter, a Customer Success Manager at BrightWork, walked through the steps for copying the issue list into an issue log, creating a workflow in SharePoint Designer to copy items to the new log, and then creating a BrightWork report to analyse the issue log.  This is one of many interesting uses of workflow to enhance project management on SharePoint.  here are two other interesting examples:

Building Advanced Workflows with the K2 workflow solution

Some of our customers have already invested in a 3rd party workflow SharePoint add-on like K2 or Nintex to more easily build out advanced workflows. Recently we at BrightWork worked with K2 and invested time to ensure the products integrated well. On May 10th we delivered a webinar in the K2 monthly series titled, “Expert Webinar Series: Project Governance and Management Reporting using SharePoint” (see the description below).  You can view this webinar and more about the BrightWork and K2 integration here

Join K2 and BrightWork for a complimentary webinar showing how an economical solution built with Microsoft SharePoint provides an easy, cost effective solution to manage and track the project cycle from idea through project initiation, and in addition provides proactive workflow based alerts to reduce the wait time associated with traditional project management reporting to implement effective governance.

With SharePoint 2010 organizations can quickly setup applications to  manage project approvals and governance  that are  easy and attractive to use and very inexpensive to maintain and change.  Come to this webcast presented by K2 (the business process / workflow experts for SharePoint) and BrightWork (the project and portfolio management experts for SharePoint) and see a solution demonstration and get your questions answered.
