Last week we at BrightWork were part of a team of SharePoint partners (K2, Avepoint, Knowledgelake, Tribridge, Collabware) delivering a day long seminar on the value out of the box SharePoint. The seminars were delivered in Atlanta, Tampa and Boston and the seminar invite read as follows:
Please join us for a full-day seminar to discover ways you can easily and quickly leverage SharePoint to improve your business processes. The seminar will be segmented into 6 sessions: Business Intelligence with SharePoint (Tribridge) / Tales From the Field - Business Drivers and Successful SharePoint Governance (AvePoint) / Using SharePoint for Work, Project and Portfolio Management (BrightWork) - Lunch Provided / Increase Productivity by Integrating any Line of Business Application with SharePoint for True Enterprise Content Management (KnowledgeLake) / Increase Productivity and Improve Records Management Compliance using SharePoint and CLM (Collabware) / Business Process Management with SharePoint (K2).
The BrightWork session was billed as follows:
- Using SharePoint for Work, Project and Portfolio Management
- Many organizations have already invested in SharePoint for general collaboration, but do not realize that it is also the perfect solution for collaborative project management.
- Today we will see how out of the box, SharePoint 2010 has a feature set that can be used to mimic the project management structure required for projects of various types and sizes.
- We will also see how SharePoint can be easily enhanced to manage work, individual projects and portfolios of projects.
I delivered the session in Atlanta. My colleague Darrell delivered the session in Tampa and my colleague Brittany delivered the session in Boston (yesterday). For those who attended the session and would like access to the recordings, please find them below:
